A dozen event wins helped Warren’s girls team to an 88-53 season-opening track and field win over Titusville on Tuesday at War Memorial Field.

Warren’s boys team dropped a 98-47 nonregion meet to the visiting Rockets.

Lindsay Madigan and Lilly Newton were three-time individual event winners for Warren. Madigan finished first in javelin with a throw of 90 feet, 2 inches. She also won the triple jump in 30-3.25 and 100-meter dash in 13.79 seconds. Newton edged Titusville’s Addison Burleigh, 29.44 to 29.45, in the 200, and won the 400 (1:04.52) and high jump (4-6).

Morgan Alexander was a two-time winner in the 3,200 (12:50.82) and 1,600 (5:52.69) — as Warren finished 1-4 with Brynn Norris, Emma Peterson, and Riley Evan finishing 2-3-4.

Adison Cullers won the 100 hurdles in 18.59.

Zoe Rodgers won discus by over 17 feet in 84-2.

Kylie Fehlman (30-0.5), Aurora Feaster, and Katrina Seamens were 1-2-3 in the shot put.

Second-place finishers for the Lady Dragons also included Laney Gatto in pole vault (7-3), Gracie Page in long jump (13-9), Alexander in the 800 (2:45.19), Madelyn Nosel in the 100 (13.89), and Warren’s 4X100 relay team won in 52 seconds.

“For a rainy first meet, I thought we had a lot of great performances,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin.

Dustin added: “Obviously not looking for kids to be at their best right now, but there were many pleasant surprises. For many of the kids, it was their first meet ever and they were impressive. We definitely have a lot of talented athletes and it will be great to see how far they can go the rest of the season.”

For Warren’s boys, winners of two of three relays, Sam Lindell (2:16.88), Quinn Norris and Matt Sowa were 1-2-3 in the 800 and 1,600. Lindell won the 1,600 in 4:55. Sowa won the 3,200 in 12:10.13.

Second-place finishers for the Dragons included Wyatt Stearns in javelin (85-06), Parker Anderson in shot (40-03), Andrew Haight in discus (115-04), Scott Nichols in the 110 hurdles (19.99), Logan Crissey in the 400 (59.35) and Johnny Corbett in the 100 (12.40).
