Corry trap team celebrates successful season

COLUMBUS — Members of the Corry trap team gathered recently to celebrate another successful season during the team’s annual awards banquet, recognizing individual achievements, team accomplishments and the dedication of student-athletes throughout the 2026 season.
The evening’s highest honors went to Gavin Munsee, who was recognized as both the Corry High Gun and the Warren County High Gun, earning the team’s top individual distinctions for the season.
Additional top honors were presented to Thomas Kondrlik, who earned recognition as High Male Varsity Shooter, and Patience Sandreth, who was named High Female Varsity Shooter.
Varsity placement awards were presented to Tyler Coulter, First-Place Male Varsity; Liam Wilson, Second-Place Male Varsity; and Trevor Ongley, Third-Place Male Varsity.
On the girls’ varsity side, Dakota Harlow earned First-Place Lady Varsity honors, followed by Callie Breauchy in second place and Natalie Proper in third.
Junior varsity honors went to Zachary Troyer, First-Place Male JV; Jace Ostrander, Second-Place Male JV; and Ryan Burge, Third-Place Male JV.
In the girls’ Junior Varsity Division, Makenzi Proper earned First-Place Lady JV honors, Evelyn Billott received Second-Place Lady JV recognition, and Kensley Sheldon placed third.
Middle school shooters were also recognized for their accomplishments. Everett Ongley earned First-Place Middle School Male honors, while Isaac Johnson finished second and Zayden Johnson placed third.
On the girls’ side, Finley LaVigne earned First-Place Middle School Female honors, followed by Kiara Aikens in second and Mellyssa Sacchetti in third.
Special awards highlighted dedication and achievement throughout the season. Max Jewell was recognized as Rookie of the Year, while Case Benedict earned Middle School Rookie of the Year honors. Aiden Bliss received the Most Improved Shooter Award, and Trenton Parrett was recognized as the team’s Protection Champion.
Several team members were also recognized for earning varsity letters during the season, including Tyler Coulter, Liam Wilson, Aiden Bliss, Huntley LaVigne, Zachary Roush, Porter Allyn, Trevor Ongley and Thomas Kondrlik.
The team also recognized its graduating seniors: Parker Trask, Porter Allyn and Mason Hulings. Coaches and teammates thanked the seniors for their contributions to the program and wished them success in their future endeavors.
The Corry trap team is led by head coach Sherry Anderson and supported by assistant coaches Jim Morton, Greg Linden, Mike Roush, Ryan Anderson, Dale Johnson and Duane Ingalls, who serves as the team’s gun man.
During the banquet, team members, families, coaches and supporters gathered to celebrate not only competitive success but also the responsibility, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork that have become hallmarks of the Corry trap team.
The Corry trap team continues to provide local students with opportunities to develop marksmanship skills, confidence, and leadership while proudly representing the Corry community throughout the shooting season.
