The Warren girls junior high girls cross country team finished second overall at the District 10 Championships on Wednesday. Morgan Alexander led the way for the girls with a third-place finish. Her and teammate Emma Peterson were medalists for finishing in the top 30. Cole English was Warren’s top boy, placing 65th. As a team, the boys finished 14th overall. Submitted Photo

Junior high cross country

UNION CITY — Kierra Wismar of Eisenhower turned in a fine effort in the Junior High District Cross Country meet Wednesday at Union City High School.

Wismar posted a time of 12 minutes, 30 seconds over the 1.77-mile course to place 24th in a field of 163 runners.

Other results from the girls race were Isabelle Grosch, 61st, 13:38; Bryn Lindell, 66th, 13:42; Hialeah Stanton, 69th, 13:47; Cassady Ferino, 130th, 15:43; Lillian Cathcart, 136th, 16:17; Jordan Jacob, 145th, 17:28; and Autumn Howick, 150th, 17:51.

Bryceton Wilkins was the top Eisenhower finisher in the boys race, touring the course in 12:22, which was good for 74th place.

Other results for the boys were Max Enos, 98th, 12:49; Michael Palmieri, 113th, 13:11; and Trenton Courtney, 132nd, 13:59.

There were 178 runners in the race. A total of 30 schools were represented.

Bowling

Renee Anthony’s 198-550 paced the Ladies Church League at Valley Bowling Center.

Kellie Johnson shot a 174-476.
