Dear Editor, The Exchange Club of Warren and The Warren Rotary Clubs regretfully announce that due to the COVID-19 virus we will not be having our Annual Turkey Party this year. We would like to thank our past grand sponsors: Warren Times Observer, The Eagles Club of Warren, United Refining Co., American Legion Post 135 as well as all our other sponsors who have supported our yearly fundraiser. ‘Slide’ begins with Trump Dear Editor, When the leader of our nation mocked a former Prisoner of War and disrespected the Gold Star parents of a fallen soldier, he showed not only America, but the entire world, that he is person without a moral compass and without empathy for anyone, even our heroes. Fix the flaws in system

Dear Editor: I have a few thoughts. First, enough of stuffing the Supreme Court. The court exists, right, as the supreme arbiter of disputes. We want it to make fair, impartial, reasoned, decisions. That is not what happens when we stuff it with political hacks instead of the best, brightest and fairest judges we can find. ‘ How stupid are we? If the Republicans stuff the Court with ultraconservatives, when the Democrats come to power, they’re going to expand the court from nine to 19 and add in liberals. See an end to that? See a Supreme Court everyone trusts in that? ...

Taking the high road

In line with the nationally recognized Truck Driver Appreciation week, Crossett Inc. dedicated a week in September to showing our appreciation to professional drivers. The week was spent preparing and serving a hot meal each day for drivers to enjoy each day morning, noon or night to accommodate drivers on all shifts. Trump knows when to get tough Dear Editor, Statistics I’ve seen show the United States with 20% of the world’s COVID-19 cases with 5% of the population. Joe Biden’s numbers were slightly off as he used them as a criticism of President Trump’s handling of the virus.
