Dear Editor, Has America bankrupted its moral and legal values? More than one month ago the United States and the world witnessed the unthinkable on Jan. 6, when the National Capitol was invaded by a violent mob of insurrectionists intent on overthrowing our government; even to arrest or do whatever to our elected representatives, all the while vandalizing the building. Dear Editor, Impeach former President Donald Trump? Here we go again. What a waste and loss of our tax money. But when the money is not your own but comes from someone else, no problem. There seems to be no limit to what hatred will cause some people to do. May I express my gratitude to Mr. Trump? Alarming numbers

Dear Editor, On Nov. 1, Warren County had 74 positive cases and there had only been a couple confirmed deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. By Nov. 16, there were 111 new cases which was almost 40 in 16 days. Sadly, people still think this is not real and a joke. Well on Jan. 20, since the start of the year, Warren County has had 398 new confirmed cases and 47 deaths. That is an average of 20 cases per day over 20 days! Thank you for securing our borders and keeping your promise to build the wall and making it so non-Americans can only enter our country the legal way! Dear Editor, In the Readers Speak section (Jan. 21) an anti-Biden submission purports to quote a Czech Newspaper. A Google search of the first sentence of that quote, “The danger to America is not Joe Biden, but a citizenry ...” reveals that it is not factual. A Reuters news fact check team and Politfact determined this quote was false and that it had been circulating since at least 2010. Dear Editor, The American political climate has become one of absolutes with no middle ground. You are either anti-mask or pro-mask; anti-vaccine or pro-vaccine; anti-abortion or pro-abortion. You either agree to have a border wall or you are labeled as un-American for wanting open borders; you either support the destruction of our cities during protests for racial justice or you are labeled a racist yourself.
