Sentencing relief denied for Warren man

A Warren man who has been found in violation of several court orders was denied sentencing relief Friday. Thomas Barbot-Aviles, 28, of Warren, remains in Warren County jail on repeated contempt charges following a denial of a sentence relief motion. Judge Gregory Hammond denied the request and another to remove a no-contact condition from the sentence. Charges were withdrawn against four and one was held for court in preliminary hearings held recently at the Warren County Courthouse. Charges were withdrawn against the following: ¯ Donnie L. A Warren man is charged with indecent assault after he and a 15-year-old girl were allegedly found unconscious in a vehicle. Mitchell A. A Warren County woman is charged with aggravated assault after a car-vs.-skid steer crash. Kristin R. Ross, 31, of Pittsfield, faces charges of aggravated assault and DUI related to alleged incidents from Wednesday. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Ross was driving west on Route 6 in Pittsfield at about 8:40 p.m. when her vehicle rear-ended a skid steer that was also driving west. Troopers seek info after dog found dead

Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police are seeking information about a dead dog found in a garbage bag in Conewango Township. Troopers said in a statement that they responded to the area of Stone Hill Road and Liberty Street on Monday for a “report of a deceased dog found in a garbage bag.” “Upon arrival,” according to the statement, “Troopers observed a yellow Labrador inside the garbage bag with an apparent bullet wound to its head.” The dog was wearing a green cloth collar with a dog bone shaped buckle.
