A Warren State Hospital patient will spend at least two years in state prison after assaulting a nurse. Andrew J. Burrows, 29, Warren, was sentenced by President Judge Maureen Skerda. Chief Public Defender Kord Kinney said his client called 911 as soon as he realized the extent of the injuries, acknowledging that Burrows faced a state prison sentence. NY man sentenced in attempted knife attack

An Olean, New York, man is headed to state prison for his role in an attempted knife attack. President Judge Maureen Skerda handed down the sentence on Friday. According to the affidavit of probable cause, Jason A. Warren man sentenced on child porn, drug charges

A Warren County man was sentenced to state prison on charges of child pornography and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Austin J. Stuart, 25, of Warren, was sentenced to a total of 39 to 78 months in state prison, including 15 to 30 months, a $1,500 fine, fees of $675, court costs, and submit a DNA sample, for child pornography, and 24 to 48 months to be served consecutively, and a $100 fee, for possession with intent to deliver. Indictment may be tied to NY missing person probe

U.S. Attorney Trini Ross announced Friday that Anthony Neubauer, of Falconer, N.Y., was being held on a charge of kidnapping resulting in death.
