TCCS boys fall at Union City

UNION CITY, Pa. – Tidioute had to face its first big road test minus two key starters at Union City Friday. The Bears took full advantage of the undermanned Bulldogs to come away with a 61-14 win. “Veasey and Kennedy didn’t play tonight,” TCCS coach Terry Cotterman said. “We rested them (tonight) because we didn’t think they’d be able to play back-to-back games.” Even missing those players, Cotterman felt the Bulldogs were able to run their offense well in the first quarter, they just weren’t able to get shots to fall. “The effort was there and we hustled our ...

The Lady Blue Devils raced out to a 26-10 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. “We do not have a lot of experience going against a team who is such a powerhouse,” TCCS coach Christy Valentine said. “We will look at it as a learning experience and the fact the girls played hard all four quarters tonight.” Cambridge Springs took advantage of 32 TCCS turnovers and the Lady Blue Devils outrebounded the Lady Bulldogs to create transition and second-chance ...
