Wheeler nets career-high 28 as Lady Knights beat Tidioute

Emiley Wheeler scored a career-high 28 points for Eisenhower in their win over Tidioute on Monday.

Behind a career-high 28 points from Emiley Wheeler, the Eisenhower Lady Knights won their third consecutive game, all against fellow Warren County teams, 55-27 over Tidioute on Monday.

The Lady Knights, who also got 10 points and 6 rebounds from Lydia Giannini, jumped out to a 18-2 lead after the first quarter and 34-6 at halftime.

“We played a lot of girls today, and that’s valuable at this point in time,” said Eisenhower coach Mike Logue. “Any experience they can get in learning to work with the older girls will help them improve that much faster.”

Lilee Renninger had a strong game for Eisenhower (3-2) as well, scoring 8 points, while Brittany Smith pulled down seven rebounds.

Nakiesha Krouse played a very strong game for Tidoute, scoring 18 points.

Eisenhower also won the JV game, 27-16.

Renninger had 9 points Smith 7, while Aspen Fors and Jessica Hulse had five each for Tidioute.

The Lady Knights return to action against Cambridge Springs on Thursday.

“Everybody’s working hard,” Logue said. “That’s exactly what the coaching staff likes to see.”
