Despite being swept by visiting Cathedral Prep on Monday at the Warren YMCA, Warren’s swim teams had a chance to compete in their last meet prior to the postseason.

Highlights for Warren’s girls in a 120-64 loss included Samantha Caudill’s second-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle in 2:28.12 and was second in the 100-meter breaststroke for a 1-second defeat in dropping to 1:24.94. She also teamed with Lilly Newton, Katie Krogler and Leyna Irwin for second in the 200-meter freestyle relay.

Lexi Paris was second in the 100-meter butterfly in dropping to 1:21.09, and Madeline Walker second in the 100-meter backstroke in 1:17.36.

Emma Peterson was second in the 400-meter freestyle in 5:17.74.

Newton finished third of six in the 50-meter freestyle, and Irwin was third of six in the 100-meter freestyle.

Warren had one competing swimmer in the boys’ 113-5 loss.
