Mercyhurst Prep blanks Eisenhower

Mercyhurst Prep scored all its goals in the first half en route to a 4-0 victory over Eisenhower in a girls soccer game Friday.

The Lakers took the lead 16 minutes into the game, extended their lead 10 minutes later and quickly scored twice more before the half on breakaways down the middle of the field.

The Lady Knights played well defensively in the second half, but couldn’t find the back of the net offensively.

“We definitely did not get the outcome we wanted but the girls played their hearts out and left everything on the field,” Eisenhower head coach Emily Woods said. “I was very proud of their effort in the second half to hold them scoreless. This effort was better than when we faced them last season. I’m very happy with the effort today. I thought Payton Frank played a great game.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
