Rulander, Harrison shine for Warren

Warren’s Shyann Rulander won the girls race and teammate Hugh Harrison took second in the boys race as the Dragons took on nonregion Oil City in cross country Tuesday.
Warren’s boys won the boys race with 27 points while Oil City had 28. John Seyler was fourth, Sam Lindell fifth and Graham Carr sixth.
In junior high action, Warren’s Lilly Newton just missed course record en route to a first-place finish in the girls race and Morgan Alexander was second.
Warren’s junior high boys won in a no-contest.
The Dragons return to action next week at Eisenhower.
HUMMEL TAKES SECOND
Eisenhower’s Alex Hummel won the boys race in 19:07, but Corry finished with 15 points and the Knights had 43.
Eisenhower’s Griffin Williams was ninth and Nathan Hanson was 12th.
In the girls race, the Knights’ Madison Cathcart was fourth in 24:10 as Corry finished with 18 points and Eisenhower had 40. The Knights’ Alyssa Wisman was sixth, Sydney Cronmiller was eighth, Gracie Anthony was 10th and Brooke Anderson was 12th.
For the junior high boys, Eisenhower’s Max Enos was third in 11:47, Bryson Wilkins was fifth, Trenton Courtney was sixth and Michael Palmieri was seventh.
In the junior high girls race, Eisenhower’s Kierra Wismar was second in 11:56, Bryn Lindell was fourth, Isabelle Grosch was fifth, Hialeah Stanton was sixth, Lilly Cathcart was eighth, Cassady Ferino was ninth, Autumn Howick was 10th and Jordan Jacob was 11th.
