NY man wanted on local kidnapping charges taken into custody

JAMESTOWN, NY — A 38-year-old Jamestown man wanted on a kidnapping charge in Warren County was taken into custody early Wednesday. In a news release, Jamestown police announced the arrest of Michael D. Johnson on a fugitive from justice charge. He was picked up around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday during a street check in Brooklyn Square. Police learned that Johnson was wanted on a warrant in Pennsylvania for interference with custody of children, concealment of the whereabouts of a child and kidnapping of a minor.
