Case backlog starts to unwind in lengthy Thursday plea court

The Warren County Courthouse was busy Thursday as the backlog of cases due to the COVID-19 pandemic started to shift in a lengthy plea court proceeding before President Judge Maureen Skerda.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

Zachary E. Battko, Warren, to disorderly conduct.

Tiffany C. Bindics, Jamestown, NY, to retail theft.

Riley N. Brown, Warren, to marijuana – small amount personal use. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was not prosecuted.

Kendra J. Byler, Union City, to possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of marijuana – small amount personal use and two counts of possession of a controlled substance were not prosecuted. At a second docket, Byler pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance – contraband/inmate while a count of possession of a controlled substance was not prosecuted.

Tyler Constable, Erie, Pa., to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of possession with intent to deliver was not prosecuted.

Joshua S. Danielson, Bemus Point, NY, to retail theft. At two additional dockets he pled guilty to receiving stolen property while charges including two counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property were not prosecuted.

Dakota M. Depto, Kane, Pa., to DUI: combination alcohol/drugs – first offense and fail to keep right. Charges including four counts of DUI and a single count of disregard traffic lane were not prosecuted.

James D. Edmisten, Youngsville, to DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – second offense and driving without a license. Charges of DUI, fail to keep right and careless driving were not prosecuted.

Edgar Y. Evans, III, Warren, to possession with intent to deliver. A count of criminal use of a communications facility was not prosecuted.

Brooke M. Glienna, Erie, to adulterate/misbrand any controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of possession with intent to deliver was not prosecuted.

Frederick J. Glotz, Jr., Warren, to make repairs/sell/etc. offensive weapons. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and false identification to law enforcement were not prosecuted.

Little A. Goodwill, Otto, NY, to retail theft. Charges of theft by deception and receiving stolen property were not prosecuted.

David W. Harkins, Youngsville, to DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – second offense, disorderly conduct and failure to stop at red signal. Two counts of DUI and a count of possession of marijuana were not prosecuted.

Megan M. Jones, Ashville, NY, to retail theft.

Jaidynn R. Kendricks, Warren, to possession of a controlled substance and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was not prosecuted.

Wyatt C. McAllister to DUI: Controlled substance/impaired ability – first offense, marijuana – small amount personal use and driving without a license. Charges of DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, no rear lights and turning movements and required signals were not prosecuted.

Timothy M. Mihalko, Clarendon, to recklessly endangering another person.

Abraham Millham, Irvine, to DUI: Controlled substance – Schedule II or III – first offense. Charges of DUI and illegally parking within 50 feet of a railroad crossing were not prosecuted.

William J. Moore, Jr., Sheffield, to DUI: Controlled substance/impaired ability – second offense, improper display plate, driving while operating privilege suspended/revoked and required financial responsibility. Charges of resisting arrest, driving an unregistered vehicle, fail to carry registration, use improper class of license, fail to carry license and careless driving were not prosecuted.

Gideon R. Naquin, Warren, to possession with intent to deliver. Charges of marjuana – small amount personal use and possession of drug paraphernalia were not prosecuted.

Khadija M. Newark, Erie, Pa., to false report to law enforcement. Charges of criminal use of a communications facility and conspiracy (possession with intent to deliver) were not prosecuted.

Ricky L. Richards, Grand Valley, to theft by unlawful taking. Charges of conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking), theft by deception and deceptive business practices were not prosecuted.

Donald S. Seither, Warren, to two counts of possession of a controlled substance, driving an unregistered vehicle, required financial responsibility and fail to carry license. Charges of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of instrument of crime with intent were not prosecuted.

Brian A. Skiba, Warren, to criminal mischief – damage property.

Jeremiah A. Smith, Warren, to possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of criminal use of a communications facility and possession of a controlled substance were not prosecuted.

Jennifer S. Vinopal, Clarendon, to theft by unlawful taking. A count of possession of a controlled substance was not prosecuted.

Terry L. Wagner, Tiona, to DUI: High rate of alcohol – second offense and careless driving. Charges of DUI and fail to keep right were not prosecuted.

James J. Ward, Warren, to DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – second offense. Charges of DUI, careless driving and operating a vehicle without valid inspection were not prosecuted.

Erin E. Williams, Warren, to DUI: High rate of alcohol – first offense, driving an unregistered vehicle and operate/permit operation with unsafe equipment. Charges of endangering the welfare of children, DUI and disregard traffic lane were not prosecuted.

Darryl R. Wurst, Clarendon, to disorderly conduct and harassment. Charges of public drunkenness and intoxicated pedestrian causing hazard were not prosecuted. At a second docket, he pled guilty to false alarm to agency of public safety and disorderly conduct. Charges of resisting arrest and institutional vandalism were not prosecuted.

Bench warrants were issued for the following defendants:

Devin C. Adams. Adams has been charged with possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy (possession with intent to deliver) and possession of a controlled substance.

Brian Bean, Corry. Bean has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, fraud – alter/forge/counter title, registration or insurance, driving license suspended regarding DUI, driving without a license, driving a registered vehicle, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, fail to carry registration, fail to notify change in address and fraudulent use – removal of registration plate.

James R. Wightman, Jamestown, NY. Wightman has been charged with theft by unlawful taking.
