The inaugural Warren County Community Chess Club Groundhog Chess Open, held Saturday, Feb. 3, at Warren Public Library, drew 14 competitors in two divisions. Pictured in the photo on the left are the winners in the scholastic division Ki Ferguson (center), first place with four points; Liam Ferry (right), second place with three, and Elias Reinard (left), third place with two. And pictured on the right, in the open division, the top four positions tied with three points. Bob Pelini (center) took first place on tiebreakers, Nathaniel Schmidt (left) took second, and Trenton Johnson (right) took third.
