Knights of Columbus Council 964 of Warren recently worked at Betts Park. The memorial to Clifford R. Betts had been grown over and not visible. Pictured are Mark Jaynes, Bill Allen, Khris Ward and Troy McFate. The Betts Foundation has been a longstanding supporter of the City of Warren’s efforts to maintain and enhance the park, thus resulting in its naming. Prior to becoming property of the City of Warren, the land served as an airport. In speaking today with Rodney Betts and Cliff Betts, grandsons of Clifford Betts, both believed the property may have been originally owned by a family with the last name of Ristau.
