Kane’s Art in the Wilds returns June 27-28
KANE – Art in the Wilds returns to Kane’s Evergreen Park for its 20th year on June 27 and 28.
“For twenty years, Art in the Wilds has brought to Kane some of the best artists and artisans from a wide swath of Pennsylvania and beyond,” said Julie Cleland, Art in the Wilds president. “This year will be even better.”
Participation in the show is limited to only forty artists. Those coveted spots are awarded by a panel of art jurors to artists who must apply to participate.
Last year Art in the Wilds was named the PA Wild “Event of the Year.”
“Twenty years ago, we hoped that art might become an attraction that would bring people to Kane and have a positive economic impact not only for our local artists, but for businesses as well,” said Marilyn Blackmore, the show’s vice president. “And that has happened. We promote and advertise the show throughout western Pennsylvania and Southwestern New York with newspaper and direct mail. Each year we can expect thousands of people from throughout that region to come to Kane and walk through the show.”
This year artists from Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland will be exhibiting and selling their work.
