Library hosting 2nd annual Be the Book challenge

Read the book… be the book.

The Warren Public Library is holding its second annual Be the Book challenge.

“The challenge is to act out, or depict, a book title,” Children’s Librarian Susan Slater said. “Take a photo of yourself, friends, or family acting out a book.”

“Books of all types for all age levels can be utilized,” she said. “Photo may include one person, several people, pets, stuffed animals… use your imagination.” All entries must have the book pictured in the photo.

“We offered this challenge last year and received some really neat photos, so we are offering it again,” Slater said.

Entries may be sent to sslater@warrenlibrary.org no later than Monday, Jan. 10.

In addition to the photo, entries should include participant’s name and age (if a child), an adult contact name, phone number, book title, and author.

“Participant’s names will be entered into a random drawing,” Slater said. “Four participants will each receive a $50 Walmart gift card.”

Winners will be notified by phone on Jan. 12 and all entries will be posted to the Warren Public Library Facebook photo album – Be the Book 2022 Entries by that date.
