AMVETS presents scholarships

AMVETS Post 50 leaders are pictured presenting scholarships to local graduating seniors. From left, Post Commander Travis Hitchcock presents the Post 50 Scholarship to Hunter Gourley, son of Todd Gourley, who will attend Precision Manufacturing Institute in Meadville, majoring in CNC Machining; Post 50 Sons of AMVETS Finance Officer Jim Morris presents the Post 50 Scholarship to Zane Alexander, son of Matt and Wendy Alexander, who will attending Penn State University majoring in Biological Engineering; and Natalie Forsberg, daughter of Randy and Chris Forsberg, accepts to the Post 50 Auxiliary Scholarship from Auxiliary President Michelle Williams. Forsberg will attend the University of New Hampshire majoring in French ­ International Affairs. The AMVETS scholarships were awarded based on high school academic achievement and honors along with their explanation of life goals and intentions of their future college experience and education.
