Enemy No. 1? Dear Editor, No one is out to “get” Donald Trump. He is his own worst enemy. Democrat or Republican, the president has to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Should Trump be president again, so be it. The people will have spoken. If he does win, democracy will be replaced by autocracy. That’s will of the people of the U.S. who voted for Trump. Send money to a rich former president for his legal fees? Seriously? He is a “god” to his followers. Will the people back him again? Mary Leo, Warren Military Share success Dear Editor, In ...

Still unconnected Dear Editor, I attended the second Broadband Community Event they have had in Franklin put on by the PA Broadband Authority at the end of July. It was the largest meeting they have held so far in the state. Both Venango County state Sen. Scott Hutchinson and Rep. R. Lee James attended as well as two of their county commissioners, one Commissioner Candidate, the Director of Northwest Commission, and their United Way Director. They are all working together. I wish we had a Broadband meeting in Warren. Gregory Burkett, Warren N-threat worsens Dear Editor: The ...

Missing broadband Dear Editor, Well I just returned from the third PA Broadband Authority Community Meeting. There was one in Ridgeway and Franklin in the fall, Wellsboro in June, and the most recent was in Port Allegheny. No representatives from Warren County at any of them. Today Rep. I don’t think $2 billion is going to go too far divided by 67 counties. The maximum grant amount is $10 ...

This is indeed quite disturbing to hear that there is a concerted effort at all levels of government to indoctrinate our kids regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I have heard that they even go so far as to encourage minors to engage in chemical and/or surgical gender transition. Even more egregious this process is hidden and encouraged ...

Missing on broadband Dear Editor, Well news travels slowly in Warren County. Today we learned there is $200 million in funding statewide for broadband improvements, but the deadline for application is July 10. This funding was announced April 5 and applications were accepted beginning on May 10. We should have known this was coming since the Pennsylvania Broadband Authority was created over a year ago for this purpose. They invited us to public meetings on Dec. 14 in Franklin and Ridgway to learn what they were going to do regarding the fed funding coming, and the importance ...

A better U.S. Dear Editor, Give us a candidate: ¯ That knows what governing means, and age is not an impairment. ¯ That will campaign vigorously and defend the views through honest debates. ¯ Understanding what the job entails without staff to offer explanations. ¯ That will tell the truth and actually accept responsibility by letting the “buck stop here” when it is warranted. ¯ Who will make certain the media and government agencies are truthful with the people who depend on them. ¯ Who will not allow “wokeness” to engulf the population with its ...
