Tidioute, WCCS girls turn in strong efforts at Forest tournament

MARIENVILLE – Tidioute had a couple of tough games in the Forest Tip-Off Tournament, but overall a very encouraging Friday and Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs fell to WCCS 46-27 in Friday’s opener and dropped a close one, 31-30 to Union City in Saturday’s consolation game. WCCS jumped out to a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and that proved to be too much for Tidioute to overcome on Friday. Warren County Christian School opened up its season on the road with a 30-19 win over the Crawford County School Initiative on Tuesday. Josiah Poindexter scored a game-high 13 points to lead Warren County Christian School past CCSI 39-29 on Tuesday. The win moved the Lions to 2-0 on the young season.
