Lady Dragons suffer road loss

MILLCREEK — McDowell scored eight runs in the fourth inning en route to a 12-0 five-inning win over visiting Warren on Tuesday.

Warren, which has opted out of the District 10 4A playoffs after losing their all-star pitcher to injury, has now lost seven of eight games to fall to 5-12 overall.

Senior Carly Beers opened the game with a base hit before McDowell retired 13 straight. Alanna Warrior had Warren’s only other hit, a single in the top of the fifth inning.

Six walks, two doubles and a hit by pitch keyed the eight-run fourth for the Trojans (8-11).

Warren’s season ends on Wednesday at Elk County Catholic.

Starting at $3.50/week.
