Hummel finishes 11th for Eisenhower boys

BEMUS POINT, N.Y. — The Eisenhower cross country teams competed in the Red Dragon Invitational on Friday at Long Point State Park.

Eisenhower’s Alex Hummel was the star of the show for the Knights finishing at 11 of 93 varsity boys runners in the 3.1 miles race with a time of 18:31. Joining Hummel in the varsity boys race was Griffin Williams who finished 60th with a time of 21:51.

The varsity girls team took eighth place out of 11 teams with 199 points while the hosting Maple Grove Red Dragons won the event. Madison Cathcart finished 24th with a time of 23:40, Alyssa Wismar finished 34th with a time of 24:24, Chloe Lasecki finished 60th with a time of 26:36, Gracie Anthony finished 62nd with a time of 26:55, Peyton Kellogg finished 63rd with a time 27:03 and Brooke Anderson finished 79th with a time of 30:36.

In the girls modified race at 2.1 miles Kierra Wismar took 3rd place with a time of 15:34. Also having strong races was Bryn Lindell in 13th place at 17:03, Isabelle Grasch in 14th at 17:04, Hialeah Stanton in 15th at 17:06, Lillian Cathcart in 26th at 19:19, Cassady Ferrino in 35th at 20:35, Jacob Jordan in 38th at 22:56 and Autumn Howick in 39th at 22:58.

Modified boys had Bryceton Wilkins take 22nd at 15:39 and Michael Palmieri was 55th at 18:44.
