Inclement weather affected the conclusion of the Kinzua Sluggers Summer Slam Tournament on Sunday at the Farm Colony Sports Complex in North Warren. The 9U Division was able to finish its tournament early Sunday with the Kinzua Sluggers taking first place ahead of the second-place Jamestown Knights. The 11U Division championship game was tied 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when thunderstorms rolled into the area. The Clarion Wildcats were awarded first place after going undefeated in the tournament. The Kinzua Sluggers took second place. The 12U Division championship game was in the fourth inning when storms arrived. Erie Outlaws (Lackey) was awarded first place with a 2-0 lead in the final game when it was called. The Erie Steelheads took second place. All photos are from the 11U championship game.
