Maplewood rolls past Ike baseball

GUYS MILLS — Eisenhower took the long trip to Maplewood on Wednesday and was looking to add to its win total after its first victory on Monday, but the Tigers never gave them a chance en route to an 11-1 victory.

Maplewood’s first run came in the first inning on a Knights’ error and Maplewood’s Paul Hirosky drove in two more in the inning on a double. Hirosky collected another RBI in the second inning on a sacrifice bunt to make it 4-0.

Griffin Williams took the loss for Eisenhower after allowing four earned runs and four hits, walking four and striking out two.

The Knights were led by Shawn Pascuzzi, Mason Degnan, Caleb Jakubczak and Aaden Nichols, who all had hits.

Eisenhower will play Youngsville on Friday at Werner Park. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
