All lives need values Dear Editor, Black lives matter. White lives matter. All lives matter. But lives are a combination of body for action, mind for knowledge, and spirit for direction. It is becoming more evident that the spiritual dimension of our lives is much less significant than it needs to be. From more violence to empty pews, it gets more obvious every day. Important point missing Dear Editor, I read a recent editorial (June 10), while scratching my head. You mentioned the primary turnout of 30% Republicans and 27% Democrats as low, and prognosticated that fall turnout will have far more persons voting. As I recall, your newspaper had many articles about the large number of requests at the court house for mail-in ballots. My husband and I are senior citizens, and voted by mail. Matter of fact, everyone we know voted by mail. I thought it odd that your entire editorial about voter turnout on Primary Day, during a pandemic, never ...

The year was 1947 and a number of young men had just returned from World War II. Filled with pride and a new sense of patriotism they formed an organization later to become the Warren Jaycees.
