Help our schools open Dear Editor, To reopen our schools safely, Pennsylvania needs Congress’ help Pennsylvania educators and administrators are putting plans in place to reopen our schools to students in the new school year. We still have a lot of work to do, but one thing is clear: our schools will need federal help to reopen safely. Kneeling implications Dear Editor, I read something incredulous. It stated that President Donald Trump would win the upcoming election just on sports figures kneeling. I can’t recall any extreme reaction to this until Trump told people what they were supposed to think. Now, he again, is verbally attacking a citizen on that subject who doesn’t bow to his opinion. Masks a new arsenal Dear Editor, Some folks may think of Patriots with muskets near July Fourth. Defiant words penned to delicate paper were backed up by iron, gunpowder, lead and the blood of Patriots. Cloth masks and sanitizer seem wimpy weaponry compared to iron and gunpowder. When a business applies for a public loan that is funded by taxpayer money there should not be an expectation of secrecy. Get going on brakes Dear Editor, I have noticed many skid marks on only one side of a vehicle. Why? Because apparently brakes are not working or are out of adjustment.
