Dear Editor, As we watch this debacle on the border and the other blunders in Washington less than 100 days into the administration, I wonder how many President Joe Biden voters have changed their minds about “Mr. Nice Guy?” He changed the immigration laws, not because of their ineffectiveness, but because the laws had the Trump stamp on them. Dear Editor, Nearly 60 million people may say they would join a union today, if they could. The problem? Big business and woefully outdated laws continue to undermine the right to collectively bargain. Just take the “Right To Work” Laws, for example; Across the country, anti-worker legislators are relentlessly fighting to pass right to work, which has a more than 70-year track record of lowering wages, reducing benefits, and making work more dangerous. Dear Editor, A San Francisco news item of March 19 states that “as America reels from its latest spate of deadly hate crimes and racism, educators and civil rights leaders in California called on the state Board of Education to approve the nation’s first state-wide model ethnic studies curriculum for high school students.” This in my opinion will be a massive waste of resources with little if any positive results. How many phone numbers are there?

Dear Editor: I would like to address the issue of bringing in another area code. It seems like technology is going backwards. When I was a kid, we had a short number like 859J. Then it got longer and went to RA3-4209 and then to 723-4209. Now they want to make it longer yet. Why is this? I would like to call the attention to mathematicians and math teachers about this issue. I cannot believe that all numbers going with 814 are exhausted.
