Vote integrity matters

Dear Editor,

The 2020 Presidential election cannot be undone. Some think it’s childish to question or contest an election. Even if the outcome does not change, every person that throws their hat in the ring in America has the right to question when anomalies occur.

There are more than enough problems with elections that need to be ironed out, yesterday, that still plague the integrity of electoral results. I would like to see results that precisely follow the law. Additionally, we need reforms that buttress the integrity of the results. There should not be violations of the law that provide the opportunity for bickering from the electorate.

In 2020, it was the law that voter rolls be purged of ineligible persons. Approaching the election Judicial Watch threatened many counties with lawsuits to remove scores-of-tens-of-thousands from the rolls or face them in court. This should be done without being threatened to do so.

In 2020, Pennsylvania law had a deadline for accepting mail in ballots. A judge legislated from the bench and changed the date of acceptance. The judge’s job was to see the deadline, as written in the law, was enforced not changed at his whim because he thought it was not fair.

In 2020, mail in ballots required dates, signatures, and privacy envelopes. How many were accepted with a missing component because, well, it’s what they intended? Again, accepting those that did not meet the letter of the law was wrong.

True the Vote made a video called “2000 Mules” that used cell phone locations and video affirmation of the stuffing of ballot boxes. They were recently arrested and jailed for contempt of court for not revealing resources that provided information necessary for their investigation. Democrats deny the use of cell phones to prove voter fraud yet use cell phone information to arrest persons on January 6. How can that be?

When a vote tally area is closed, no one should be allowed to enter that area. That would eliminate the questions about whether suitcases of ballots arrived in the dark with no observers present. Things that can be questioned must be eliminated.

Can we help to stop the vote controversy with photo ID for voters?

Absolutely! Why don’t Democrats want this simple identification used in voting. No one can do anything of importance in daily life in America without identification. It is available free to anyone that doesn’t already have a valid ID.

There are more than enough reasons to doubt elections of which components fall outside the law. We need to follow the law. We need to remove every way an election can be cheated. We need to do this as soon as possible before every coming election, not just the 2024 Presidential election. The future of our country depends on it. I would be pleased if neither the winners nor the losers had reason to whine about the integrity of future elections.

Awaiting a revival

Dear Editor,

I wanted to comment on the present situation in our country. One can barely process all that’s transpiring. From flagrant violations of our sovereignty from Chinese spy balloons to millions pouring across our southern border; it seems as if things are spiraling out of control. In terms of immigration, this includes not only asylum seekers, but drug dealers, terrorists, and vicious gang members.

Our cities are war zones with unprecedented violence in the streets. Our children are under assault with pornography being placed in many public school libraries and “drag queen story hour” becoming more prevalent. When parents protest such things they are labeled domestic terrorists.

At latest count there are more than one hundred genders and the push toward transgenderism has led many children to seek radical and tragic surgeries. Regardless of the recent Supreme Court decision, several states have enacted laws enabling the termination of babies at birth.

On the international stage things are no better. Our economy is facing total meltdown with reckless spending and the dollar being replaced as the world’s reserve currency. Our energy policy defies all logic; and this coupled with our humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan, and our growing involvement in Ukraine leaves one wondering where we are headed.

In his fascinating book, “The Harbinger,” Jonathan Cahn compares ancient Israel to America. As Israel turned from God, chaos erupted on every front. They were sacrificing their children to pagan gods, moral constraints were abandoned, and a spiritual darkness set in. Eventually, God lifted His hedge of protection and Israel’s enemies overran the country.

Many Bible students say that they can’t locate America in scripture, but it’s there several times. It’s depicted as a superpower that ultimately forgets the blessings of God and goes into rapid decline shortly before the return of Jesus Christ. This decline opens the door for certain rogue nations to attempt to fill the power vacuum. Out of this chaos an infamous “New World Order” is born.

One of the things God has promised at this time is a world wide revival; His Spirit being poured out on “all flesh.” It will begin like a heavy rain storm, with a drop here and a drop there, and then comes the deluge! Suddenly, the world will be lit up with His presence and power! Let us pray to be used by Him in the crucial days to come!
