Celebrating success
Chamber holding celebrations for local business growth, milestones
Success breeds success.
The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry is hoping that highlighting business milestones will prove that idiom true.
The Chamber has held several ribbon-cuttings recently and has more scheduled in the next couple weeks.
“Ribbon-cutting ceremonies are more than just a ceremonial act,” Savannah Casey, the chamber’s director of operations, said. “They serve as powerful tools for businesses and communities.”
The ribbon-cutting events aren’t just for new businesses.
Casey said that recent events included ceremonies last week for the 10-year anniversary of Lather Salon as well as the week before for the five-year anniversary of Liberty Street Lunch.
“The Lather Salon underwent a major remodel,” Casey said. “Those types of instances are also worth celebrating.”
Upcoming events included Burns & Burns on Aug. 22 at 2 for celebrating 84 years; River’s Edge on Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. celebrating one year; Livestyle Home Furnishings on Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. to commemorate five years and a change in ownership; Warren PC Repair on Sept. 9 at 4 p.m for a grand opening and Garden Grub on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. for a one-year anniversary.
These are events that are open to the public and Casey said she’d like to see the community get more involved.
“It introduces the business to the community, building local support and a customer base, but also helps our citizens foster a sense of community involvement and pride,” Casey said. “Ribbon cuttings are open to the public, and our efforts in helping organize them are free.
“We love celebrating our local businesses,” she said, “and I’d like for more business owners to reach out to us to coordinate their own special celebrations.”
