The Youngsville Public Library’s annual spring fundraiser giveaway is happening through March 31 with 11 themed-options each at a value of $100 or more. For a $5 donation supporters receive five tickets to use towards the gift-card, cash and lottery themed options of your choice. Basket details are available at youngsvillelibrary.org and on the library’s Facebook page. The Friends of the Youngsville Library will be selling Love Your Library tickets at Station 61 Restaurant on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. There are 11 “themed option” each at a value of $100 or more. For a $5 donation participants will receive five tickets to be used toward the theme(s) of their choice; participants can purchase as many tickets as they’d like provided the total amount purchased is divisible by five. SOUPer BOWL EVENT IS SUNDAY Several events are on tap in the region in the coming week, including the annual SOUPer Bowl fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the the Warren Eagles Club, 2101 Pennsylvania Ave. East. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per child. There are unlimited soup samples and trophies for first, second and third place soups. AMERICAN LEGION TO HOST STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST Each year the American Legion Auxiliary sponsors an Americanism essay contest for student in third through 12th grades, including students with special needs. This year’s essay title is “What Does Patriotism Mean To You?” There is a cash award at the local level, by the Youngsville American Legion Auxiliary, for each of the six groups/classes.
