A Garland man has pleaded guilty to felony animal cruelty. Elijah J. Cottrell, 19, pleaded guilty before Judge Gregory Hammond to a count of aggravated cruelty to animals. Warren man receives more jail time

Failure to satisfy all of his registration requirements has landed a sexual offender additional prison time. John A. Snyder, 51, of Warren, was sentenced Friday by President Judge Maureen Skerda to an additional 30 to 60 months in state prison. In addition to the prison time, Snyder was ordered to pay $1,250 in fines and $550 in fees. Snyder, who is a lifetime Megan’s Law sexual offender from a 2009 conviction for indecent assault, failed to complete his registration requirements in 2020.
