Pleas entered at preliminary hearings

Three guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against two during preliminary hearings held Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse. The following defendants entered guilty pleas: ¯ David A. Leonard, 43, Warren, to harassment. A count of terroristic threats was not prosecuted. ¯ Richard B. The following sentences were handed down by President Judge Maureen Skerda on Friday during sentence court proceedings at the Warren County Courthouse. ¯ Samantha D. County jail sentence for man who faces federal charges

A Youngsville man will stay in the county jail as a result of a sentence handed down Friday. Nicholas J. Barnes, 29, was sentenced to eight to 23 months on charges of obstructing the administration law and disorderly conduct. The obstruction charge stems from him slamming a door into a police officer, causing injuries to the officer. Barnes was also yelling, making threats, swearing, pushing furniture around and breaking glass during the incident. Pennsylvania State Police -- YOUNGSVILLE -- A 14-year-old female has been charged after Pennsylvania State Police responded to a report of underage drinking. Police say they arrived at the 100 block of Mead Run Road in Brokenstraw Township before 6 p.m. Saturday and discovered the girl had been inebriated and in possession of alcohol while at an event at the Warren County Christian School. Charges were filed via a non-traffic citation.
