City man pleads guilty in exploiting children

ERIE, Pa. – A resident of Warren has pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children, United States Attorney Cindy K. Chung announced Wednesday. Vincent Dexter Swanson, 30, 615 East St., pleaded guilty to one count before United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter. Warren man charged with possessing child porn and corruption of minors

A Warren man has been charged with child pornography possession and corruption of minors. Gavin T. Mohr, 18, allegedly was exchanging sexual messages with a 15-year-old girl via social media and encouraged her to send sexually explicit photos, according to the affidavit of probable cause. After a review of messages and images, police charged Mohr with one count each of child pornography and corruption of minors. He was arraigned Friday before District Judge Raymond Zydonik and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Inmate charged with felony escape

An inmate at the Warren County Jail is charged with escape following an alleged plan to walk away from work release and get a ride out of town. Joseph R. Wees, 42, of Warren, was charged Monday with felony escape. Wees was charged Oct. 17 with three felonies — theft by unlawful taking, deceptive business practice, and receiving stolen property – and was jailed after failing to post $10,000 bail.
