Cases resolved at preliminary hearings

Charges were withdrawn against three defendants while one was held for court during preliminary hearings held Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse. Inmate charged with felony escape

An inmate at the Warren County Jail is charged with escape following an alleged plan to walk away from work release and get a ride out of town. Joseph R. Wees, 42, of Warren, was charged Monday with felony escape. Wees was charged Oct. 17 with three felonies — theft by unlawful taking, deceptive business practice, and receiving stolen property – and was jailed after failing to post $10,000 bail. Charges were withdrawn against two defendants during preliminary hearings on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse. Nicholas G. Reardon, 20, Warren. Reardon had been charged with receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense. Ronald J. Natale, 73, Youngsville.
