A Youngsville man accused of rape of a child faces new charges following court action on Wednesday. Adam C. Burleigh, 23, was initially charged with rape of a child; two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child; two counts of unlawful contact with a minor — sexual offenses; all felonies of the first degree; sexual assault, a second-degree felony; felony corruption of minors; misdemeanor corruption of minors; and two counts of indecent assault — person less than 13 years of age, also misdemeanors. County jail sentence handed down in indecent assault case

A Warren man will spend time in county jail and register as a sexual offender for 15 years as a result of a sentence handed down in county court. Chase A. Bies, 20, was sentenced to a minimum of six months in the county jail on a count of indecent assault in addition to one year probation on a count of corruption of minors. He entered no contest pleas back in November to the two charges before Judge Gregory Hammond. One sentence and one bench warrant were handed down as a result of sentencing proceedings held Friday before Judge Gregory Hammond. Jessica L. Bailey, 38, Clarendon, was sentenced to DUI charges at two dockets.
