Riedel, 38, Titusville, was charged by Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police on Sept. 2 with DUI: Highest rate of alcohol — first offense, DUI: Controlled substance — Schedule I — first offense, DUI: Controlled substance — combination alcohol/drugs — first offense, disregard traffic lane, exceed 55 mph in other location by 20 mph, careless driving and restrictions on alcoholic beverages from an incident that occurred on Aug. 3 in Spring Creek Twp.

Farmington Twp.

Theft. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police were contacted by a victim regarding the theft of scrap metal from a pile located off White Rd. Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact state police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers. Total value is estimated by police as in excess of $2,500.

Pine Grove Twp.

Recovered vehicle. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched on the morning of Aug. 30 to Big Four Road for a report of a vehicle in the Conewango River. Upon arrival, troopers discovered the vehicle — identified as a 2007 blue and silver van container — had been abandoned there after being stolen out of New York State. State police say the Carroll Police Department is handling the investigation.
