GIRARD, Pa. – The Warren golf team continued to take steps forward this season with a solid outing Tuesday at the Elk Valley Golf Course. The Dragons shot a 347 as a team, good for third place at the fourth Region 6 Mega Match, with McDowell as the host. Warren girls tennis put up a strong fight against its long time rival Tuesday, but dropped a 5-0 decision to Fairview at Betts Park. Both the top singles and doubles matches were hotly contested affairs, but the Lady Dragons couldn’t pull out the win in either. Almost every exhibition match could have gone either way as well. WATERFORD, Pa. – Warren volleyball kicked off its 2019 season in style on Saturday, taking second place at the Fort LeBoeuf Tournament. This year’s team features several key returners from last season’s District 10 championship group and PIAA runner-up, as well a number of players who excelled in their first extensive action at the varsity level.
