Benefit support lauded

Dear Editor, To all our family and friends who helped with Diane Thorpe’s benefit, we would like to thank all of you for your donations and prayers at a difficult time in our lives. Everything turned out OK, which we are grateful for. Every one of you made a difference with all of the prayers. Once again, thanks from the bottom of our hearts for everything. This ship has sailed

Dear Editor, Seems to me that the city of Warren just wants to spend money on schemes that won’t do much for Warren proper. Look at all those townhouses, condos or whatever. They are setting empty and a tax drain. Never paid up every year but just enough to not be tax sold. Another hotel that won’t be hardly used, like all others in and around Warren. Now they want a $2 million-plus boat launch that won’t be hardly used by tourists. The only one that will benefit from this $2 million dollar boondoggle will be one business. Signs and sense Dear Editor, This is regarding signage. Here are two questions that come to mind with regard to Warren’s general ambiance. First, why should any business put out political signs if they want to attract business? If I see a Trump sign on a business (all right, substitute a Biden sign if that’s your pleasure), I am not going in there. I won’t give them my business even if I have to drive to Jamestown or Kane to get what I’m after. Adding faith clarity

Dear Editor, Recently there was a letter to the editor that was titled “Nation needs religion.” Although I agreed with the content of the letter, I have a problem with the title because the word religion is misleading as to the letters content. I would have to say that the vast majority of the people in this nation have some form of religion. Dear Editor, Another debacle for this administration. Look at the chaos and mayhem in this country and now in Afghanistan; all this in just seven months! Where is the humanitarianism in allowing illegals to enter this country and now subjecting the Afghan people to brutality and murder with the departure of troops. Dear Editor, In case you missed it on a recent editorial page of the Warren Observer, Pat Buchanan made it abundantly clear what total chaos exists on our southern border. With clueless Joe Biden following the dictates of his far left, Socialist Marxist band of Democrats, the U.S. border with Mexico exists no more.
