Junior high cross country

Runners from Beaty Warren Middle School and Eisenhower Middle/Senior High School competed on Wednesday at the 16th Annual Junior High District Championships at Union City High School.

In the boys’ 3,000-meter race, Mason Warner led Beaty with a 39th-place finish out of 183 runners in 12:04. Other Beaty boys included Nathaniel Harris (53rd, 12:10), Levi Peterson (68th, 12:28), Ethan Gustafson (74th, 12:34), Ashton Carrington (85th, 12:50), Dylan Shaffer (94th, 12:58), Daniel Cull (122nd, 13:36), Connor Schwabenbauer (134th, 13:54), Mason Chapman (139th, 14:15), Landon Lutton (155th, 14:48), Eli Lutton (157th, 14:50), and Trenton Wright (166th, 15:23).

Eisenhower’s Joey Fanelli was 59th in the boys’ 1.86-mile race at 12:14, Benny Matson 62nd at 12:20, and Reid Mitchell 167th in 15:27.

In the girls’ race, Eisenhower’s Josie Elms finished 39th out of 149 runners in 13:24 and teammate Hanna Lund 43rd in 13:38.

For Beaty, Scotlyn Perry was 50th in 13:57, and Delaney Moore 73rd in 14:34.
