Conservation District announces art contest winners

The Warren County Conservation District held their fifth art contest for children in grades K-12. The theme this year was “Soil: Where it all Begins.” There were 97 entries this year.

A People’s Choice contest was also held for artwork from March 17 to 31. Prizes and ribbons for first to third place were provided by the Warren County Visitor Bureau for each age group. Ribbons were also given to the People’s Choice winners within each age group. Congratulations to the following winners of this year’s contest:

— K-2 — 1st place Edison Gaeta, 2nd place Harrison Gaeta, 3rd place Adley Brown

— 3-4 — 1st place Adaline Trask, 2nd place Greyson Gaeta, 3rd place Liam Eck

— 5-6 — 1st place Laura Fanelli, 2nd place Emily Dysinger, 3rd place Elliette Fralick

Additionally, the Warren County Conservation District is now holding their seventh annual Photo Contest. The photo categories are Sports Action, Ice / Icicles, Fish / Fishing, and Patriotic. Photos will be accepted until Sept. 11. For more information visit www.wcconservation.net.
