Youngsville’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) club will be hosting “Red Out” games throughout the month of February. Red Out events will be held Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. (wrestling), Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. (girls basketball) and Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. (boys basketball). The mission of SADD is to empower and mobilize students and adult allies to engage in positive change through leadership and smart decision making. SADD recognizes that underage use of substances is a problem for students, families and communities. The Eagles are asking those interested to come to one or all of the events and wear red as a show of solidarity of a tobacco, alcohol and drug-free community. Each year, the Warren County SADD chapter hosts a local conference which features a keynote speaker and four breakfast sessions for local students. The program also helps out with mock car accidents held annually throughout the county. YHS will be selling “Red Out” shirts as a fundraiser to help support these valuable programs. Shirts are available for purchase at stores.threesixtygraphics.com/youngsvilleREDOUT.
