Warren’s boys basketball team jumped out to a 25-10 first quarter in a 68-35 nonregion win over Seneca on Wednesday in the Dragons’ home opener at Warren Area High School.

Brady Berdine led six first-quarter scorers with 8 of his game-high 18 points in the opening stanza.

“We talked about being focused, being crisp early,” said Warren coach Jeff Berdine, whose Dragons are 3-0. “It was a great start, a lot of energy coming out early. We were good in transition and in making the extra pass; as a coach, those are the things you want to see, moving the ball to the open guy and guys cutting to the hoop.”

Warren, which hosts Cathedral Prep on Friday, led by 29 at halftime.

Logan Crissey finished with 13 points for Warren, which finished with nine scorers.
