Junior high track

Beaty Warren Middle School eighth grader Kaiden Garris won the 100-meter dash in 11.74 seconds and 200 in 24.34 at last week’s 11-team Beaty Invitational at War Memorial Field. Teammate Adam Yeager was second out of 25 in the 100 in 12.24, and Eisenhower’s Easton Fitzgerald third in both the 100 and 200.

Beaty’s Leyton Salvatore and Sammy White finished third and fourth, respectively, out of 25 in the 800.

Eisenhower’s Joseph Gigliotti finished second by less than two seconds in the 1,600 (5:07.30 to 5:08.50).

Youngsville’s Chase Myers won the 110 hurdles out of 21 in 18.54 and was second in both high jump at 5-04 and javelin at 119-08.

Youngsville teammate Oliver Boozer was third in the high jump and second in both long jump at 16-09.5 and triple jump in 33-07.

Beaty’s Trey Carrington won the 300 hurdles in 48.14, and teammate Cole Fitzgerald won pole vault at 8-0.

For girls’ highlights, Sheffield’s Kaelon Connolly won the 200 out of 20 in 30.24 seconds. Beaty’s Mara Dussia won the 400 in 1:08.84.

Beaty’s Brynn Norris was second in the 1,600 in 6:04, and teammate Emma Peterson fourth in the 800 and second in the 3,200 in 14:00.

Beaty’s Adison Cullers won the 100 hurdles over 12 other hurdlers in 18.54. Cullers was second in the 300 hurdles in 56.54.

Beaty’s Julia Getner won high jump in 4-06.

Eisenhower’s Bryn Lindell edged Sheffield’s Connolly in long jump, 14-02.5 to 14-02.

Eisenhower’s Rosalle Rondeau finished first out of 14 in triple jump in 30-05.5, ahead of Beaty’s Gracie Page (29-00.5).

Youngsville’s Marli Rectenwald topped 20 others in discus at 75-06, and she was fourth in javelin, just behind Beaty’s Malysia Sorenson and Sheffield’s Kaitlyn Finch.

Eisenhower’s Morgan Zaffino finished first out of 21 in shot put with a throw of 32-11. Youngsville’s Sarah Blauser was second and Sheffield’s Madison Snell third.

Eisenhower’s Hialeah Stanton pole vaulted 5-06.
