Warren’s seniors played their final boys soccer match at War Memorial Field on Thursday, a 7-1 win to close out the regular season against Titusville.
“They are a highly-decorated group of (eight) seniors — three four-year lettermen, one of the most prolific scorers of all-time, a player who started every varsity match of his career, five players who represented Pennsylvania in the NY/PA Corporate Cup, two region titles, and multiple first-team all-region nods,” said Warren assistant coach Chris Darling.
Senior Mark Lynds finished with two goals and freshman Quinn Norris two goals and an assist for Warren, which was minus its leading scorer in Parks Ordiway due to illness.
Logan Crissey, Ethan Best and Corban Reinard also scored for Warren, which finishes its regular season at 13-5 overall and is the top 2A playoffs seed out of Region 4. Casey Rich contributed two assists and Gavin Rex and Jack Chapman added assists in the win.
“It was a fitting ending with the old guard of seniors scoring goals and two freshmen scoring to show the future,” said Warren head coach Denny Flatt.
