Warren’s Boys Minors All-Stars rallied, but fell short to Bradford, 7-5, on Tuesday in a Little League elimination game at Betts-Jackson Field.
Trailing 7-2, Keegan Weissinger, Ty Bryan and Jaret Lang scored runs in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to two runs.
That’s all Warren could muster as Bradford went 1-2-3 in the sixth to advance in the double-elimination 8-10-year-old tournament.
Bradford had key hits in a six-run fourth to take a five-run lead.
Bryan, who was 3-for-3 at the plate, knocked in the game’s first run with an RBI double in the first. Matt Shippee’s two-out single in the top of the fourth scored James Alexander to give Warren’s all-stars a brief lead. Bryan started on the mound for Warren, striking out four and leaving with a 2-1 lead.
