The Larry Himes Memorial Scholarship and Golf Scramble were initiated by his family and friends as a venue to honor his life and his love of sports. The proceeds of the scramble help provide an annual college scholarship to a Warren County athlete through a Memorial Scholarship Fund that is managed by the Community Foundation of Warren County. The 2026 scholarship winners are Jahzara Hunter and Clara Steinberg. They were awarded $2,000 each to help them with their college expenses. This year the golf scramble will be on Aug. 1 at Jackson Valley Golf Club.
