Staying alive.

The two Youngsville Eagles that advanced to wrestling districts are alive in the consolations, needing to pull off one more win to qualify for regions.

Ian Mancuso defeated Grove City’s Conner Naser by fall in the prelims. However, in the quarterfinal, Owen Helsman of Saegertown defeated Mancuso 16-3.

The second Eagle to advance to districts was Logan McDonald. Youngsville Coach Myers commented, “McDonald dropped a heartbreaker in the preliminary round to Landen Wolfkiel of Titusville.” Wolfkiel defeated McDonald by two points.

Myers complimented the pair of juniors saying, “The boys wrestled hard this evening.”
