Bradarich throws gem for Tarp Skunks

Ryan Bradarich sure had his ‘A’ game on the mound Thursday night.

The left-hander scattered six hits, struck out seven and didn’t issue a walk in a stellar complete-game performance as Jamestown blanked Newark, 6-0, in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contest at Diethrick Park.

The win evened Bradarich’s record to 1-1 on the season and improved the Tarp Skunks to 13-6, a game and a half in front of Elmira for first place in the West Division.

Jamestown provided Bradarich with all the runs he would need in the third inning when it scored three times off losing pitcher Robert Coleman. Higlighting the rally was a three-run triple by Elijah Pascual. Armed with a 3-0 lead, Bradarich took care of the rest.

The Tarp Skunks, who also received two hits from Luke Turner, scored a run in the sixth and two more in the eighth to give Bradarich some insurance.

On Wednesday at Geneva, Jamestown tallied four runs in the first inning, two more in the second and breezed the rest of the way in a 10-4 win.

Turner finished with three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs, while Danny Hosley added two hits. Haiden Hunt smacked a double and scored three times, and Kolve Aven, Padraig O’Shaughnessy, Kyle Borrello and Cory Blackburn each drove in a run.

Evan Harrison earned the win in relief, working seven innings, to raise his record to 3-1.

The Tarp Skunks return to action tonight when they entertain Batavia. First pitch is 7 p.m.

Starting at $4.00/week.
