‘THAT’ party

Dear Editor, Isn’t it sad? Millions of dollars for the left’s wishes, that have nothing to do with helping citizens through this crisis. Thousands of families could use that money to sustain their lives. Strange? No more than what “THAT” party has been doing for years. Selfish, moronic decisions that have been harming the country and defaming the president that was elected to “drain the swamp.” I wonder why some of these politicians keep getting elected. They speak and act as insane, moronic donkeys (their mascot), holding fellow Americans hostage for their silly agendas. ...

Support the front lines

Dear Editor, One of the struggles of self-isolation is how hard it is to say thanks. Many of us have seen reports of communities in different locations that are picking a common time to go outside and make some noise in support of our brave brothers and sisters on the front lines of this terrible COVID-19. This is both a great way to say thanks, and if most of us participate, a daily check-in with your neighbors as well. We’ve started going outside and making noise at 6 p.m., and ask all to join us. Saying thank you

Dear Editor, The world has certainly changed suddenly and quite dramatically as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are all doing the best we can to adjust to and deal with this new reality now facing us, especially with all of the major changes, worries, and stresses it has brought our way. During these extraordinarily trying times, it seems essential to offer our deepest heartfelt thanks to all of those healthcare providers courageously serving on the front lines, who are putting themselves at risk in their heroic efforts to limit the human costs of this pandemic in ...

Imagine

Dear Editor, Let’s imagine what truly good leadership would look like under the extraordinary crisis now facing us. So imagine a leader with a genuine capacity for empathy, compassion, and selflessness who puts his own ego aside and focuses fully on doing everything possible to help our nation and all of its people get through and best deal with this pandemic and all of its ripple effects through all levels of our nation. One who with humility and unwavering determination embraces the great responsibility now thrust upon him (”the buck stops here”) rather than attacking ...

Current crisis

Dear Editor, I want to comment on the current crisis facing our nation. Needless to say, the coronavirus dominates headlines all over the world. Despite the strong response from our government, including travel bans and pushing hard to create a vaccine; many citizens are still panic buying and fearful of the future. Besides the potential for thousands of deaths, our economic stability is also under assault. Millions of people are worried about their ability to survive financially. At times like these, we begin to realize how tenuous, and in some cases perilous, our situation in life ...

Thank you, volunteers

Dear Editor Once again I would like to thank our volunteers for helping to make our 2nd Harvest Food Bank for Veterans a success. We had the most participants getting food, as we have ever had, also the most thank yous. Everyone was smiling and enjoying the day. Isn’t it so nice to see something positive. Thanks again, Rick Moore, Warren
