Dear Editor, We are on the slippery slope to socialism. Donald Trump tried to drain the government “swamp,” but the Democrats and media were bent on destroying him from day one and with the recent election kept the swamp intact. Dear Editor, Donald J. Trump, the former oval office day care center occupant, escaped his second impeachment conviction. There will be a future judgment without political implications beyond his selfish control. When our military women and men go to combat they know that their sacred lives may be given for our democracy. Dear Editor: It is with deepest regret having to write this letter but for the circumstances at 610 Fourth Ave. However, it is also with the greatest honor, pride and respect and our deepest, heartfelt thanks to all who helped us during and after the fire. Had it not been for the smoke detector waking my wife up and her getting me up, it would have been a lot worse. Using the fire extinguisher did not put the fire out, however it did keep it down a lot. The fire department was really fast. Today, more than 50 years later, that similar car would cost in excess of $31,750, or a factor of about 10 times! In 1969 the minimum wage was $1.45 per hour, in 1970 it was raised to $1.60 per hour! Raising a flag

Dear Editor, On Saturday Feb. 6 while on my way to a sports store, I observed something out of the ordinary. The American flag flying upside down on a large flag pole on the property next to a church. Being a veteran I knew this wasn’t right so I looked up the meaning to refresh my memory.
